Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
Hello!
I'm currently a graduate student at Northwestern University, studying to become a marriage and family therapist. My approach to therapy is grounded in the wisdom of pioneers in the field, but I also keep an eye on newer ideas that might benefit my clients. I believe in working together to find the approach that feels right and fits your needs.
Before pursuing my master’s degree, I earned a bachelor’s in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During that time, I had the opportunity to intern with therapists from various backgrounds. It was during this experience that I discovered my passion for marriage and family therapy, particularly the systemic approach used by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). This approach looks at clients and their issues as part of a larger system, whether that's a couple or a family unit. I aim to bring this holistic perspective to my work with individuals, couples, and families.
My specialization lies in Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), which blends different therapeutic techniques such as psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioral approaches. My goal is to tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing from a variety of methods to support your journey toward healing and growth.
